FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY & HENRIC DE LA COUR BESTÄTIGT



Im März 2016 stehen die Zeichen auf Strommusik. Mit dem E-Werk Ost Festival am 04.03. in Dresden und dem E-tropolis-Mutterschiff am 05.03.2016 in der Turbinenhalle Oberhausen steht die nächste Electro-Invasion ab sofort mit zwei weiteren hochklassigen Acts in den Startlöchern, die auf beiden Festivals zu Gast sein werden:

In puncto EBM- und Industrial Großtaten führt an FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY kein Weg vorbei. Es klingt immer leicht gesagt von Legenden zu sprechen – doch wenn eine Band dieses Prädikat in jeder Hinsicht ausfüllt, dann BILL LEEB und seine Mannen. Kaum eine Band aus dem elektronischen Bereich gelang es, seit ihrer Gründung - Mitte der 80er - konsequent mit der Zeit zu gehen, ohne die eigene Identität aus den Augen zu verlieren. Von den stürmischen Anfängen über den Durchbruch Anfang der 90er bis hin zu komplexen Meisterwerken wie „Echogenetic“ zieht sich die Handschrift Bill Leebs wie ein roter Faden durch die Discographie einer Band, die alles erlebt und noch mehr zu erzählen hat.

Seit Jahrzehnten ist Schweden als Herkunftsland vieler herausragender Künstler bekannt. Dieser Tradition hat sich auch HENRIC DE LA COUR, kurz HDLC, verschrieben. Als Songwriter und live auf der Bühne lebt er seine Songs mit jeder Silbe. Zuweilen entrückt, doch stets seltsam vertraut, beschwört De La Cour auf virtuose Weise den Spirit der frühen 80er, als analoge Synthesizer und New Wave den Ton angaben. Doch HDLC ist mehr als das – ein einmaliger authentischer Künstler, der sein Publikum mit großen Melodien, abgründigen Stimmungen und seinem Charisma in seinen Bann zieht!

March 2016 is all about electronic music. With our mothership E-tropolis on Saturday, 05.03.2016, at Turbinenhalle Oberhausen and the E-Werk Ost Festival in Dresden, Friday 04.03., the next electro-invasion is about to break its way with two more top-class artists, appearing on both festivals:

Talking about great achievements in EBM- and industrial music, there´s no way around FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY. Although speaking of „legends“ got a little inflationary recently, it is Bill Leeb and his fellow partners in crime, who earn said accolade with every note composed. Over the last decades merely few artists from the electronic genre maintained to uphold such constant flow of innovation while at the same time keeping the core identity alive and kicking, as it evolved. From the wild days of the 80s over the early breakthrough in the 90s to extremely complex masterpieces like the latest album „Echogenetic“, the unique style of mastermind Leeb has always been a reliable cornerstone to the discography of a band, that lived through it all and still has got so much more left to tell...

For many decades Sweden has proven fertile soil for excellent artists from various genres. Also HENRIC DE LA COUR, or HDLC, feels obliged to this tradition. As a songwriter and artist on stage he lives his lyrics with every syllable. Spaced out at times, yet strikingly familiar, de la Cour virtuously invokes the spirit of the early 1980s, when analogue synthesizers and New Wave became leading pop culture. But HDLC is much more than the sum of his parts. Foremost he stands tall as an authentic artist, who captures the audience with big melodies, sinister undercurrents and his charismatic stage presence! Mandatory for vintage aficionados!
